The University of Valencia has several research groups involved directly or indirectly with most of the technical and scientific areas of remote sensing. The Laboratory for Earth Observation (LEO) have a long history of collaboration, in some cases assuming direct coordination, in field campaigns and basic research projects from the European Space Agency, the European Union, and National programmes.
