Soil Surface Moisture (SSM)
- SSM (m3/m3) processor based on a Short Term Change Detection (STCD) algorithm applied to time series of S1 IW VV & VH images.
- S2 NDVI used to mask abrupt changes of soil surface roughness and/or vegetation, thus improving the SSM retrieval accuracy at high resolution.
- SSM product (mean & standard deviation): every 6-days, at high spatial resolution (~0.1 km) wherever parcel borders are available or at ~1 km elsewhere.
- A validation of the SSM product has been carried out in the “Second validation of Surface Soil Moisture Maps” (D7.16).
